Product Overview
Thermal oil can be heated above 300°C at atmospheric pressure—low system pressure, no water treatment—ideal where high temperature is needed without a steam boiler. The unit comprises a circulation pump, heating vessel, expansion tank, filter, valves/instruments, and control cabinet, skid-mounted for shipment; on site only process piping and power connect.
Inside, an immersion bundle heats oil entering at the bottom and leaving at the top, with velocity held at 1.5–2.5 m/s to avoid local overheating and oil cracking. The expansion tank also stores oil and vents; its volume is 1.2× the system oil charge and must sit above the highest system point.
Control uses outlet temperature as feedback to regulate SCR output, while monitoring return temperature, flow, and pump status; on over-temperature or flow loss it stops heating first, then the pump after a delay to dissipate residual heat. Before commissioning, the oil must be boiled/vented, ramping to 120°C to remove moisture and avoid spit-out during operation.
