FAQ

The questions asked most in procurement and selection

Below are the most frequent questions organized by selection, product, delivery and after-sales. If you can't find an answer, submit an inquiry and an engineer will reply one-on-one.

What information is needed for selection?

At minimum: medium name, concentration and whether it contains particles; total medium volume or circulation flow; initial and target temperature; required heat-up time; vessel or pipe dimensions, material and insulation; power supply conditions (voltage, phases, available capacity); installation environment and explosion-proof zone requirements. The more complete the information, the more accurate the first-round selection.

How to choose between flanged and screw-plug heaters?

It mainly depends on power, opening and maintenance method. For a single unit under 36kW with an opening no larger than 2.5 inches, screw-plug is preferred; above 40kW or where frequent withdrawal for cleaning is needed, choose flanged; if pressure exceeds 1.6MPa, flanged is also recommended. See the article "Flanged or Screw-Plug Heater" for the detailed decision order.

How do explosion-proof zones map to equipment?

First determine Zone 1 or Zone 2, then map to gas group IIB/IIC and temperature class T1-T6. The maximum surface temperature of the equipment must be lower than the auto-ignition temperature of the flammable gas on site. State the zone, gas group and temperature class in the technical agreement when ordering, and request the corresponding explosion-proof certificate for the model.

How long does custom design take?

Standard models usually ship within 7-15 business days; custom designs require technical confirmation and drawings first, with an overall lead time of about 20-35 business days. When special materials or third-party certification (e.g. explosion-proof, pressure vessel) is involved, the lead time is discussed separately, subject to the technical agreement.

Why does thermal oil systems coke, and how to avoid it?

Coking stems from the tube wall film temperature exceeding the limit. The key is to control flow velocity (recommended 1.5-2.5 m/s), reduce element surface load (2-3 W/cm² for thermal oil), and monitor oil carbon residue and acid value. See the article "Why Thermal Oil Systems Coke" for the detailed mechanism.

Do you support export? Can you provide English documentation?

Yes. Products are exported to 32 countries and regions. We can provide English nameplates, manuals, wiring diagrams, explosion-proof certificates, packing lists and proforma invoices to support customer customs clearance and installation.

How are warranty and after-sales arranged?

Standard products come with a 12-month warranty (from shipment or acceptance, subject to the technical agreement). In case of early failure, we recommend first checking the operating conditions and installation (liquid level, surface load, clearance, terminal temperature); we can provide failure analysis and replacement advice.

Can you propose a solution before quoting?

Yes. For complex conditions we recommend a technical proposal and sketch first, then a final price after confirming interfaces, materials and parameters. Fill in the contact form or call to describe your needs to get started.
