Industry Characteristics & Heating Challenges

Vehicle, airborne and field-support equipment imposes extra requirements on vibration, shock, wide temperature range and EMC. Heating assemblies use ruggedized structures and redundant protection, with terminal housings designed to the environmental protection level. Each unit is tested for insulation, dielectric strength, vibration and thermal cycling before shipment, with full process records retained.

Typical Applications

  • Vehicle shelters and shelter air conditioning
  • Radar and electronics temperature control
  • Aviation ground-support vehicles
  • Field fuel preheating
  • Special power-supply cooling and preheat

Questions We Ask During Selection

  1. Q1Exact composition and concentration of the medium, and whether it is corrosive, scaling or prone to polymerization.
  2. Q2Whether heating is intermittent or continuous, and the required heat-up time.
  3. Q3What explosion-proof zone the site falls into, and how gas group and temperature class are classified.
  4. Q4Material, pressure rating and available installation opening size of the vessel or pipe.
  5. Q5Whether the power supply can handle the high-power load, and whether soft start or power regulation is needed.
  6. Q6Maintenance cycle and cleaning method, which determine whether the structure is withdrawable or fixed.
