Heating equipment in oil and gas usually runs in remote, continuous-duty environments with short maintenance windows. High crude viscosity needs high-power immersion elements to maintain flow; sand- and water-laden media require erosion-resistant sheaths; offshore platforms and wellhead areas demand explosion-proof construction, salt-spray corrosion resistance and vibration-resistant mounting.

Food-industry heaters must balance heat-up rate, hygienic design and cleaning convenience.
